The West of England MS Therapy Centre is part of The Brightwell Partnership. The therapies and support we provide are to help our members maintain independence, minimise their symptoms and to improve general wellbeing. Membership is open to anyone with a neurological condition, such as MS.

Story

Ever since I can remember, running the Great North Run has been on my bucket list. Growing up, I watched my Mam and Dad take part every year, and I always said, "As soon as I'm old enough, I'll do it too."

Well... life got in the way, and that didn't quite happen. But better late than never!

At the start of this year, I laced up my trainers again with one simple goal: I wanted to run a 5k. Somehow, that turned into a 10K... and now I've signed up for the world's biggest half marathon! Safe to say, things escalated quickly.

While crossing the finish line will be a huge personal achievement, what makes this challenge even more meaningful is raising money for The Brightwell.

The Brightwell provides life-changing therapies, support, and advice for people living with neurological conditions such as multiple sclerosis, fibromyalgia, Parkinson's, and those recovering from strokes. Based in Bradley Stoke, they offer a welcoming space that helps people manage the physical, emotional, and psychological challenges that come with these conditions.

Despite the incredible work they do, less than 1% of their funding comes from statutory sources, meaning they rely almost entirely on donations and fundraising to continue supporting those who need them.

Every donation, no matter the size, will help The Brightwell continue providing these vital services.

If you're able to support me, I'd be incredibly grateful. Thank you for helping me reach both the finish line and my fundraising goal! ❤️
