Story
When I was 17 I got the news that I had lost my big brother to suicide, to say it was Earth shattering would be an understatement.
For those of you that knew him, Owen was always an outgoing bubbly and charming person who’s laughter was both infectious and irritating in equal measure. I say that with the upmost love as his sister because he had an ability to make you laugh at a time where it was absolutely not appropriate.
Which is why when I got the news he had taken his life I couldn’t have been more shocked. It’s often the people that shine the brightest light that struggle the most behind closed doors.
That’s why next year, I will be taking part in the London Marathon 2026 with the charity mind. I know I won’t be able to change the outcome of the past, but I hope that with the help of your donations and support, a charity like mind could help others who are struggling, get the guidance they need at the most pivotal of moments.
Thank you for taking the time to read. :)x
