Story
If you know our family, you’ll know that 2025 has brought more stress, shock, and tough conversations than we ever expected - but also a new perspective on what really matters.
Earlier this year, our dad was diagnosed with aggressive prostate cancer.
There were no symptoms. He felt completely fine. It was only picked up because he asked for a PSA test - almost on a whim. That decision, and that test, may have saved his life.
The diagnosis has been incredibly tough. We went from never even suspecting something was wrong, to facing an aggressive cancer diagnosis. Things moved quickly - from scans and biopsies to preparing for major surgery. It’s been a lot to take in, for him and for all of us.
Through it all, Prostate Cancer UK have been an invaluable source of support - not just through their research and information, but through real, personal help during some of the most difficult moments. Their work focuses on saving and improving the lives of men affected by prostate cancer - and we’ve seen firsthand how important that is.
A group of us are hiking Snowdon to raise money for them - and to raise awareness of just how important it is to know your risk. If our dad hadn’t asked for that PSA test, his aggressive cancer would’ve gone completely unnoticed.
Thank you for reading - and if you’re able to donate, we’re so grateful.
