Story
I am excited to announce that I'm running the Robin Hood Half Marathon again! After doing it for the first time last year, I've been training really hard the past year to get (slightly) quicker and (much) stronger.
I'm raising money for Emmanuel House, which is a homelessness charity here in Nottingham. Its food stores have run out completely of some essential items, so it's especially important now to support it.
About Emmanuel House
Emmanuel House supports people who are homeless, rough sleeping, have No Recourse to Public Funds, or are at risk of homelessness in Nottingham.
It has been operating from its day centre since 1976, meeting people’s basic human needs, providing showers, food and clothing and providing support surrounding housing, benefits and mental and physical health. Alongside this, its Outreach Team provides tenancy and mental health support. The Winter Shelter is open October - April and provides short-term emergency accommodation.
