Story
Ciao everyone!
On the 12th April 2026, I will be taking on the huge challenge of running the London Landmarks Half Marathon to raise funds for the JE3 Foundation, a charity that genuinely means a lot to me.
The JE3 (Justin Edinburgh 3) Foundation was set up in memory of former professional footballer and manager Justin Edinburgh, who tragically passed away from a sudden cardiac arrest in 2019. Out of that loss, his family created a charity with one clear mission: to save lives.
The foundation works tirelessly to:
* Raise awareness of sudden cardiac arrest
* Fund and install life-saving defibrillators in sports clubs, gyms and community spaces
* Deliver CPR and emergency response training
* Campaign for Justin’s Law, to make defibrillators mandatory in public and sporting facilities
As someone who’s always been sporty and heavily involved in football, this cause really hits home. Sport is about health, teamwork and enjoyment but Justin’s story is a powerful reminder that cardiac arrest can affect anyone, even fit and active people.
What makes this even more personal for me is that I’m close to Charlie Edinburgh, Justin’s son, who is doing an incredible job carrying on his dad’s legacy. Watching the passion, commitment and energy he puts into the foundation is genuinely inspiring and it’s a big reason why I wanted to do something meaningful to support their work. Seeing first-hand how much effort goes into making sport safer for everyone makes this run even more important to me.
Every donation, no matter how small, will help the JE3 Foundation:
* Put more defibrillators where they’re needed most
* Train more people to act confidently in an emergency
* Continue pushing for real, lasting change in sport and communities
If you’re able to donate, share, or simply cheer me on, I’d be incredibly grateful. I’ll be running every one of those 13.1 miles with this cause in mind and knowing you’re backing me makes all the difference.
From the bottom of my heart, grazie.
Evelin x
