Monmouth Male Voice Choir have been invited to join the festival of Welsh male voice choirs in a performance at the Royal Albert Hall in June 2026. As part of the choir campaign to raise funds to help all choristers take part, Matt Johnson (baritone) will be giving a talk about the 1984 murder in London of WPC Yvonne Fletcher. Matt is a former Met police officer and was a friend of Yvonne's, present on the day she was shot. In 2023, he published a best-selling and multi-award winning account of the shooting and the incredible political scandal that resulted in the terrorists responsible not being arrested or prosecuted.

Signed copies of the book will be available to purchase. All profits from entry and book sales will go towards the fundraiser.
