Evercreech Church of England Primary School is raising money for Wallace and Gromit's Grand Appeal

Welcome to our incredible community of schools supporting Bristol Children's Hospital as part of our Gromit Unleashed 3 Schools Programme.

Story

We are proud to be supporting The Grand Appeal for the Bristol Children's Hospital.

Making his 'Gromit Unleashed' debut, the 2025 official schools programme sculpture is ‘Norbot’, the smart gnome who stars in Wallace & Gromit’s brand-new adventure, Vengeance Most Fowl. The children have been busy working on a design for our sculpture, which will be painted in school before he goes to Bristol to be part of the trail in September.

So far we have planned a dress down Friday to help our fundraising, but any donations from our local community would be much appreciated.

Bristol Children’s Hospital cared brilliantly for one of our pupils, Oliver Jones, who had several stays on their Paediatric Intensive Care Unit during his illness over the last few years, and numerous times as an outpatient under various specialisms. Sadly, Oliver died last year aged 11, leaving a huge hole in our school community.

The care that the Bristol Children’s Hospital and the Grand Appeal displayed to Oliver - and continue to show for his family - has been second to none. He will always be remembered by staff and children, having spent seven years here as a beloved friend and pupil.

Please support us in raising money for this cause to give the children a treasured keepsake in Oliver’s memory, and as thanks to the Children’s Hospital for giving us and his family the most time with him as possible.
