Story
Members of the 16SR RMT will complete Trailwalker 2023. Trailwalker is a challenging team endurance event in which participants walk, jog, or run 100km nonstop across the South Downs in under 30 hours. In teams of four, with a support crew to help you cross the finish line. We hope to finish in less than 24 hours. The challenge will be difficult, but we are determined to succeed and raise the necessary funds to support the Royal Signals Charity.
The Royal Signals Charity helps Serving and Retired Signallers through Benevolence and grant giving they help them and their families in their time of need. It is impossible to predict who may suffer hardship or distress, or when or why. So, it is crucial the Royal Signals Charity is there to help when needed. In the past three years they have granted approximately £1 million to serving or retired Signallers / dependents in situations of hardship, need or distress. This is possible thanks to the generosity of Day’s Pay giving, fundraisers, sponsors and Legacy donors. Together with the sterling case work done on their behalf, they have brought comfort to hundreds of Signallers / their dependents. They have also help serving soldiers morale through sports, adventurous training, events, heritage, awards and so much more, examples of these can be found in ‘The Wire’ Magazine on their website.
By donating to the Royal Signals Charity, you can directly and significantly improve the lives of military personnel and their families. Your contribution: will make a huge difference. No matter how big or small, your contribution can benefit specific people as well as the larger Royal Signals community.
Any donations are greatly appreciated.
