Story
Hi, we’re Lucie and Jack, and in August we’re walking the West Highland Way then adding a few more miles at the end by climbing Ben Nevis!
We’ll be wild camping every night, carrying everything we need on our backs, and hiking through Scotland’s most rugged and breathtaking landscapes. The West Highland Way is a 96-mile trek filled with steep climbs, rocky trails, and unpredictable weather. And once we reach Fort William, we’re not stopping there—we’ll be taking on Ben Nevis, the highest mountain in the UK, adding another demanding ascent to finish our journey. We’re aiming to complete the full challenge in just seven days, and we’ll be documenting the adventure as we go.
We’re doing it to raise money for the Alzheimer’s Society, a charity that supports people affected by dementia and funds life-changing research into treatment and care.
Dementia affects nearly one million people in the UK, touching the lives of countless families in deeply personal and emotional ways.
We’ve called our challenge “Every Mile, For Every Memory” because it’s about more than just the miles—it’s about honouring memories, creating new ones, and doing something meaningful for a cause that matters deeply to us.
If you’re able to support us with a donation, big or small, we’d be incredibly grateful.
Every penny counts, and every step makes a difference.
Thank you so much for your support!
Lucie & Jack.
