Story
June is Alzheimer’s & Brain Awareness Month, and this year I’m fundraising in honor of my grandfather, Jack Elder.
Alzheimer’s is more than a disease I’ve learned about—it’s something my family experienced firsthand. Watching my grandpa live with Alzheimer’s was one of the most difficult things I’ve ever gone through. The disease slowly changes the lives of not only those diagnosed, but also the people who love them. It taught me how precious memories, conversations, and even the smallest moments truly are.
My grandpa meant the world to me. He was loved deeply by our family, and even as Alzheimer’s took more from him, it never changed how much he meant to us. His life continues to inspire me, and I carry his memory with me every day.
This fundraiser is dedicated to him and to the millions of families who are facing Alzheimer’s right now. Every donation supports research, care, support services, and advocacy through the Alzheimer’s Association. Together, we can help create a future where no family has to experience the heartbreak of this disease.
Thank you for helping me honor my grandpa, Jack Elder, and for joining me in the fight against Alzheimer’s.
💜 For Papa. For the memories. For a cure.
