22 Scottish munro challenge · 27 June 2025

We’re Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM), and we’re a suicide prevention charity. We host a helpline for people affected by suicide, as well as vital online resources for anyone who needs them.

Story

Thank you for taking the time to visit this page I really appreciate it.

On the final weekend in June 2025 I will be attempting a challenge to hike 22 munros (Scottish mountains over 914 metres) over 4 days in aid of Campaign Against Living Miserably.

The reason I am taking on this challenge is I suffered in silence with my mental health for the majority of my adult life until i decided to speak about it, taking up hill walking as a hobby played a massive part in helping me to get to a better place mentally and this challenge is about encouraging others to climb their own mountain.

The challenge:

22 Munros

79.7 miles

10,361 m ascent

4 days

My main aim for this challenge is to encourage others to speak about how they are feeling sooner and get the support they need.

(We’re Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM), and we’re a suicide prevention charity. We’ve got loads of tools and resources to help people find the support they need, including a life-saving helpline for people who can’t see a way forward, have lost someone to suicide, or are worried about their friends or loved ones.

£12.20 is enough to fund one potentially life-saving call.
