Story

I’m excited to share that I’ll be running my first full marathon - the London Marathon 2025 - in support of BASICS Essex, a brilliant local charity providing emergency medical care across the county. Their team of volunteer doctors and paramedics respond to life-threatening emergencies, working alongside the East of England Ambulance Service to deliver vital care when it’s needed most.

BASICS Essex is entirely funded by donations, with no government support, so the money raised goes directly towards helping them continue their life-saving work in the community. Whether it’s a serious accident on the roadside or a critical situation at home, they’re often the first to arrive, making a real difference.

I’m running on behalf of The Anderson Foundation, a long-standing supporter of BASICS Essex. Taking on my first marathon is definitely a challenge, but it’s an amazing opportunity to support a cause that’s so important.

If you’re able to donate, every bit helps and will make a real impact. Thank you for your support - it means a lot!
