Story

Hi, my name is Evie and in August 2027, I'll be taking on trekking Machu Picchu in aid of Hft.

Hft is an amazing charity that helps learning disabled adults to live their life to the fullest, and in how they choose to do so. Their strategy involves changing society to be accessible to all, opening opportunities through work, volunteering, and building meaningful relationships, and creating solutions to living life independently. Hft actively involves families and carers of learning disabled adults, which means personalised support is provided to each individual, which could vary from a few hours a week to 24 hours a day.

It brings me great joy to be able to combine my love for travelling with raising funds for such an incredible charity that will make a difference to the lives of thousands of adults across the UK.

This challenge will not be easy, as I will reach up to 4600 metres above sea level, trekking for 10 days until I reach the ruins of Machu Picchu. I am so excited for the trek itself as this is a once in a lifetime opportunity for me.

Any donation you can make will be hugely appreciated and help give me the motivation I need to conquer this challenge.
