Anyone can get Parkinson’s. It gets worse over time and there’s no cure. Yet. Funding research into the most promising treatments, we’re getting closer to a cure. Until then, we're improving life for people with Parkinson’s, and the people in their lives. Together we'll find a cure.

Story

On 12th October 2024 I will be walking 13.6 miles over the Malvern Hills, with my colleagues at Newberry. As a company we want to support several charities over the year with staff events and direct donations. We have chosen to support Parkinson's UK for this hilly challenge. The event not only raises vital funds for a very good charity, it also promotes health and fitness within our teams which is vitally important in these busy times.

Parkinson’s is the fastest growing neurological condition in the world, and currently there is no cure.

Anyone can get Parkinson’s, young or old. In the UK, around 153,000 people are already living with Parkinson’s.

Every hour, 2 more people are diagnosed. That’s the same as 18,000 people every year. 1 in 37 people alive today will be diagnosed with Parkinson’s in their lifetime.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

Any donation will be gratefully received and go towards the important work this charity does in our communities. Thank you for taking the time to visit my Just Giving page.
