“Help Our Riding for the Disabled Yard Recover from Crisis”
Erme Valley RDA aims to improve the lives of people with disabilities by providing opportunities for riding and therapy. The group ride 70 riders a week and is run by a committee of volunteers/helpers. The yearly running costs of the group are GBP 25,000. All funds come from fundraising events.

Story

Our Riding for the Disabled (RDA) yard is facing a critical challenge. An outbreak of an equine infectious disease has forced us to close for 8 weeks, resulting in unexpected costs and a devastating loss of £1,500 per week.

This closure means:

🐴 Expensive veterinary care and yard disinfection

💔 Cancelled therapy sessions for our incredible riders

⚠️ A total loss of £12,000 in vital income

We need your help to raise £10,000 to cover these costs, care for our horses during quarantine, and reopen as soon as possible. Every donation, big or small, will bring us closer to resuming the life-changing support we provide for children and adults with disabilities.

👉 Why your support matters:

Our yard is more than a stable—it’s a safe space where riders build confidence, joy, and independence. Your generosity will directly help us rebuild and continue making a difference.
