Story
Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
The realisation that suicide is the biggest killer of men under 50 in the UK and that mental health continues to be surrounded by a cultural stigma, has been the starting point for this fundraiser.
ANDYSMANCLUB is a men’s suicide prevention charity, offering free-to-attend, peer-to-peer support groups across the United Kingdom and online. By creating a judgment-free, confidential space where men can be open about the storms in their lives, it support struggling men aged 18 and over and lend a hand to suicide prevention.
The purpose of this fundraiser is to primarily raise awareness about men’s mental health, help eradicate the stigma surrounding the same and, in the process, raise funds to support this worthy cause.
To that end, myself, alongside a number of good friends/brothers (A Few Good Brothers is the name of the team) will be undertaking a fundraising 7 mile trek along the Cinder route, starting from Robin Hood’s Bay to Whitby on Sunday 25th June.
Men need to realise that ‘IT’S OK TO TALK’.
