Story

Swimming the Thames Marathon (13km) for Level Water

Later this year, I’ll be taking on the Thames Marathon — a 13km open water swim along one of the UK’s most iconic rivers.

This isn’t just another endurance challenge. It’s one that will test me physically and mentally — hours in open water, staying focused stroke after stroke. It’s going to hurt. But it’s absolutely worth it.

I’m doing this in support of Level Water, a charity that provides one-to-one swimming lessons for children with disabilities.

Every child deserves the opportunity to learn to swim — not just for fun and confidence, but for safety and independence. For many families, specialist lessons simply aren’t accessible or affordable. Level Water steps in to change that.

As someone who spends a huge amount of time in the water — training, racing, pushing my limits — I know how powerful swimming can be. It builds resilience, confidence and freedom. That’s something every child should have the chance to experience.

If you’re able to support me, any donation — big or small — will go directly towards funding swimming lessons for children who need them most.

Thank you for helping turn every stroke into something bigger than just a swim.
