The Police Unity Tour is a long-distance cycle ride undertaken by hundreds of police officers across the UK in aid of Care of Police Survivors (COPS). The primary purpose of the Police Unity Tour is to raise awareness of Law Enforcement Officers who have died in the line of duty. The secondary purpose of the UK tour, is to raise funds for Care of Police Survivors, a UK charity dedicated to helping the families of police officers and police staff who have lost their lives on duty.

I was initially a support driver, however after experiencing the Unity Tour and the COPS remembrance service, I wanted to do more. This year will be my 5thCycle with the Scottish Chapter.

Our group cover a distance of around 230 miles. Starting in Gretna, we cycle over Shap summit, taking overnight breaks at Lancaster, Stafford and Tamworth. We then join all other Chapters in the tour finishing at the National Memorial Arboretum in Staffordshire where an emotional Service of Remembrance is held by COPS.

This fantastic Charity have supported so many families after losing their, Mum, Dad, Son, Daughter, Brother or Sister. They've helped families come together and helped them through the most difficult times.
