Story
This year, I’m honoured to step up as Chapter Lead for the Police Unity Tour – a long-distance cycling challenge that brings together hundreds of police officers from across the UK in support of Care of Police Survivors (COPS).
The Unity Tour has two powerful purposes:
1 - To honour and raise awareness of officers who have tragically lost their lives in the line of duty.
2 - To raise vital funds for COPS, a charity dedicated to supporting the families left behind – mums, dads, sons, daughters, brothers, and sisters who have faced unimaginable loss.
My own journey started as a support driver, but after experiencing the Unity Tour firsthand and attending the deeply moving COPS Service of Remembrance, I knew I had to do more. This year marks my 6th ride with the Scottish Chapter – and it means more to me than ever.
Our challenge covers around 245 miles. Starting in Gretna, we push over the gruelling Shap summit, taking overnight stops in Lancaster, Stafford, and Tamworth. Finally, all chapters come together at the National Memorial Arboretum in Staffordshire for an emotional remembrance service led by COPS – a moment that reminds us exactly why we ride.
COPS is an incredible charity. They provide comfort, connection, and hope to families at their lowest moments, helping them rebuild their lives after devastating loss.
Every mile we ride is for those who can’t. But to keep this support alive, we need your help.
If you’re able, please consider donating and helping me raise funds so COPS can continue their life-changing work for the families who need them most.
Thanks so much for your support.
