Alasdair, my nephew, and I are planning to cycle across India, from just south of Chennai to Kochi. This includes crossing the Western Ghats, which go up to 3300 ft or 1000 m. It is about a 600 mile cycle,staying in local hotels. We aim to cover about 40 miles a day, so we will have time to look around and experience the different places as we go.

We are doing it on a recommended route but will not have an escort.

All the money raised will be used to support community mental health work around Bwindi hospital in Uganda. This enables people with a mental illness to access treatment that they wouldn't otherwise be able to find.
