I’d love your help raising some money for Oasis’s work. 

Oasis offers an open door for asylum seekers and refugees to have a safe space, hot meals, and a whole range or personalised services to help people integrate into UK society. From English language class to mental health programmes, peer learning groups, job training, music, trips, and sharing culture events, integration caseworkers supporting each individual set of challenges and loads more- the main thing about all Oasis does is that it is incredibly relational and personal in our care and welcome.

The people we get to support are inspiring. It is a privilege to hear some of their stories. They deserve the opportunity to live safe, healthy and happy lives in better situations than the ones they had to flee. They also bring so much that would enrich our communities.

If you are able, I’d appreciate any small donations of support for Oasis and solidarity with all those having to seek safe asylum.

Oasis is well run, makes a huge impact, and is an incredibly cool community of people (staff and over 350 volunteers) modelling something of a more interestingly diverse and kinder world.

Our budget is about £1m each year and only £50k of that is from individuals like us- the rest is government and foundations giving grants. I think there is more we can do as individuals to show solidarity and support with people building new lives in a new place.
