Story
This year, Exeter Esports Society is hosting a 24-hour charity livestream to raise money for Young Lives vs Cancer, a UK charity that supports children, teenagers, and young adults affected by cancer.
Cancer turns young lives upside down — not just for patients, but for their families too. Young Lives vs Cancer provides practical, emotional, and financial support to help young people navigate diagnosis, treatment, and life beyond cancer. From specialist social workers to accommodation near hospitals and vital mental health support, their work ensures that no young person has to face cancer alone.
Every donation makes a big difference towards Young Lives vs Cancer's life changing work:
- £10 could pay towards our social care teams giving families the strength to face everything cancer throws at them.
- £38 could pay for a family to stay overnight in a Home from Home, providing free, comfortable accommodation close to treatment centres.
- £50 could help fund vital resources and information for young people who are diagnosed, to help them and their families understand and navigate their diagnosis and its impact.
But it also has the power to introduce a bunch of chaos and fun moments through donation milestones:
£67 — Committee completes 67 push-ups.
£100 — Committee in pyjamas.
£150 — Committee attempts a TikTok trend.
£200 — Cherry & Jack take on the Buldak Spicy Challenge.
£300 — Committee performs a group song.
£400 — Boris wears a maid outfit.
£500 — Committee get sponged.
Come along and keep us company, give generously, and most importantly have fun. See you there <3
