Exeter School CCF fundraiser for North Dartmoor Search & Rescue Team

Connie Kemmish is raising money for North Dartmoor Search & Rescue Team

Rescue Challenge · 24 April 2026

North Dartmoor Search and Rescue Team are all unpaid volunteers, trained to the highest standards to rescue lost or injured people, both on and off the moor. They are on call 24 hours a day, 365 days per year.

Story

On Friday 24th, our Combined Cadet Force (CCF) will be taking part in a charity event to raise money for North Dartmoor Search and Rescue, a volunteer team that provides life-saving support to people in danger across Dartmoor.

Cadets will compete in section teams across a series of challenges, including navigation, communication, drill, and physical tasks. The event will finish with a final obstacle course race, where teams will put everything they’ve learned into action.

This event is about more than competition. It’s an opportunity for cadets to develop teamwork, resilience, and leadership, while supporting a vital emergency service that relies on public donations to operate.

North Dartmoor Search and Rescue are called out in all conditions, often at short notice, to help locate and assist missing or injured people. Every donation contributes directly to helping them continue this essential work.

This event has been organised by a committed team of cadets who have dedicated their own time and effort to make it happen.

If you are able to donate, we would be extremely grateful for your support. Every contribution, no matter the size, makes a real difference.

Thank you for supporting both our cadets and an incredible cause
