Alzheimer’s & Dementia Support Services is proud to be Kent’s biggest independent registered charity. For over 30 years ADSS has been dedicated to providing support to people affected by dementia. We have a local reputation for providing excellence in dementia support/care and we empower people to carry on their chosen lifestyles, equipping them with the knowledge/practical support to live well with dementia. People affected by dementia are at the heart of everything we do and are encouraged to be involved with our services at all levels - believing wholeheartedly in the value of involving people affected by dementia in our service delivery/development, enabling us to offer unique and bespoke support. Staff/Volunteers value/respect the role of their colleagues and by working together, in sometimes challenging circumstances, both physically and emotionally, together we are making a difference in our community. Our Team offer exciting and varied services – with something for everyone. • Information and guidance pre-diagnosis, post diagnosis and beyond • Memory Cafes, Memory Activity Cafes • Peer Support Groups • Singing Back the Memories Groups • Advocacy • Carers Learning Programme/support Groups – • Kindred Spirits (Young Onset Dementia Peer Support Group • Support at Home/Plus visits • The Beacon Day Support • Buddy Scheme • Dementia Awareness Training. . We are experienced in recognising when people’s support needs change and help find them the right support.

Alzheimer's and Dementia Support Services' mission is to empower the lives of those impacted by dementia to live well. They offer specialist knowledge, vital support, and tailored care to help the people they support and, in their care, reclaim control of their lives, remain active in their families and communities, and manage their disorder effectively. Their services are designed to manage their symptoms, have fun and improve overall well-being, ensuring that every individual has the opportunity to live well with dementia.
