Me llamo Fabian Avila Rodriguez, y soy corredor de la ciudad Cali Colombia. Pero esta historia no se trata de mí. Se trata de millones de niños alrededor del mundo que, a diferencia de mí, luchan simplemente por respirar.

Mi inspiración nace de un niño muy especial: Mateo, de 9 años, a quien conocí durante una jornada médica en una comunidad rural. Mateo ama el fútbol, pero su asma lo obliga a ser espectador en vez de jugador. Cada vez que intenta correr, su pecho se aprieta, sus labios se tornan morados y sus ojos se llenan de miedo. Ver a un niño tan lleno de vida limitado por algo tan básico como el aire me rompió el corazón.

Desde entonces, decidí correr por él… y por todos los Mateos del mundo

Correr maratones en distintos países no es solo un reto personal. Es una plataforma para generar conciencia y recaudar fondos que se destinarán a:

1. Brindar tratamientos y medicamentos para niños asmáticos de bajos recursos.

2. Financiar campañas de diagnóstico y prevención temprana.

3. Crear espacios donde los niños puedan jugar y moverse de forma segura.

Cada kilómetro que recorro es un acto de esperanza, una promesa de alivio para un niño que hoy lucha por respirar.

Mi meta es simple pero poderosa: Correr por el mundo para que ellos puedan respirar mejor.

Con tu apoyo, podemos transformar el dolor en aire, el miedo en juego, la limitación en libertad. Cada donación es un paso más hacia un futuro donde ningún niño se quede sin aire ni sin oportunidades.

My name is Fabian Avila Rdiguez, and I’m a runner from Cali Colombia. But this story isn’t about me. It’s about millions of children around the world who, unlike me, struggle just to breathe.

My inspiration began with a very special child: Mateo, 9 years old, whom I met during a medical outreach in a rural community. Mateo loves soccer, but his asthma forces him to be a spectator rather than a player. Every time he tries to run, his chest tightens, his lips turn purple, and his eyes fill with fear. Watching such a lively child limited by something as basic as air broke my heart.

Since then, I’ve chosen to run for him—and for all the Mateos out there.

Running marathons around the world is not just a personal challenge. It’s a platform to raise awareness and funds that will go directly toward:

Providing treatment and medication for children with asthma in underserved communies.

1.Supporting early diagnosis and prevention campaigns .

2.Creating safe spaces where kids can move and play without fear. .

3.Every mile I run is an act of hope—a promise of relief for a child struggling to breathe.

My goal is simple but powerful: To run the world so they can breathe better.
