Dear Friends,

Every year, members of the Fairlop Lions Club travel to Jalandhar, Punjab, at their own expense to organise a free cataract surgery camp for those in need. Patients from border areas and villages are brought by bus to Lions Hospital Adampur for check-ups and treatment. Free meals (langar) are provided throughout the camp, and patients stay overnight in the hospital.

On the first day, over 1,500 people may come for check-ups. Last year, with generous donations from friends and family, 526 successful operations were performed.

This year's camp runs from 6th, 7th and 8thth April 2024 (depending on the number of patients) at Lions Hospital Adampur. If you're in India during this time, you're welcome to visit or refer patients. It's a humbling experience, especially for the younger generation.
