Story
EDIT: Following an injury, I was unfortunately unable to run the Cheltenham Half Marathon. However, I will continue my fundraising and hopefully recover quickly, to take part in another half marathon in the next few months. I will announce this as soon as possible. Thank you so much to all who have kindly and generously donated.
I am running the Cheltenham Half Marathon to raise money for Cheltenham Animal Shelter. I just love this charity’s fantastic mission and the wonderful, kind and passionate people that work there and dedicate their time to rehoming and looking after animals in need of help. I am a massive dog lover myself and I find that rescued dogs are marvellous in their ability to forgive, let go of the past, and live each day joyously. My wire fox terrier Rocky was adopted and prior to that I had a rescue dog, Treacle who was adopted from this shelter.
I hope to raise some money this way to support the shelter in their tireless mission to rescue and rehome more beautiful dogs like Treacle and other lovely animals. This charity receives no Government or Lottery funding, they rely solely on the generosity of supporters.
I also want to raise more awareness about adopting dogs and other animals. It's a wonderful thing to offer a forever home to a beautiful loving animal that is in need for one.
So please dig dip and help me to raise a decent amount of money, to help Cheltenham Animal Shelter. Thank you
