Fanatics Run Club fundraiser for Access Sport

Mike Richardson is raising money for Access Sport CIO

Sheffield > Manchester Run Club Challenge · 18 September 2026

We believe that no one should be excluded from the life-changing benefits of community sport. We support community sports clubs, organisations, coaches and volunteers to provide inclusive inclusive sports offers, helping change the lives of underserved young people in their local community.

Story

On Friday 18th September, the Fanatics Run Club will complete a 75km run from Sheffield United’s Bramall Lane stadium store to the company’s international headquarters in Manchester.

The route includes approximately 780 metres of elevation gain and is divided into 10 sections of between 5 km and 10 km. This allows runners of different abilities to take part in one or more sections.

Run Club are raising money for Access Sport, a charity that believes nobody should be excluded from the transformational benefits of community sport. They train, equip and support community sports clubs, organisations, coaches and volunteers to provide inclusive sport and physical activity, unleashing their potential to change the lives of underserved young people in their local communities.

Access Sport has already made a real difference in the regions that our route will take us through. As a sports-led charity, we felt this was a great fit for Fanatics, as we firmly believe that sport is a force for good in the world and has the power to change lives.

£1,000 could enable a club to be trained in disability inclusion, meaning that a disabled child can access physical activity for the first time in their lives.
