Story
Well here we go again!

To raise funds for Platform for Life, an important charity that does amazing working supporting people in Chester with their mental health
As a small local charity, Platform For Life isn't as visible as the bigger and better-known charities and it's a constant challenge to raise the funds it needs to keep delivering free-to-client counselling, art therapy, play therapy and family support work.
This started 2 years ago now as a silly little idea of just running a 10km and raising a few pounds for Platform For Life. Here we are today getting ready to run my 3rd Chester Triple (Triple, Triple). We have already raised over £2,500 pounds and the goal this year is to get as close to £4,000 as possible.
So this Sunday its the 1st part, the Chester 10km. Then on May 17th its the Half Marathon and finally on October 11th its the full Marathon. Winter training has gone well so far and in the last week i have got PB's in both a 5km(22min 36 secs) and yesterday at the Nantwich 10km (47min 47secs). So the plan is a sub 1hr 50 half marathon and the ultimate goal of a sub 4hr Full marathon!!
The Love, Support and your donations is what keeps me going and it make such a difference to Platform For Life as well. So for 1 last time lets do this and smash the goals together!!
I will post regular updates both during the races and through the training and i will also be doing Parkruns, 10Km's and other runs as well as my training.
I work at the Countess of Chester hospital and in my job, I see the consequences poor mental health has on people's lives every day. So I want to do my bit to help by raising funds for a local cause that helps teens and young adults in my local area with their mental wellbeing. Three years ago I took up cycling and running to get fit and improve my mental health. This year I set a goal to do the Chester 10k, then the half marathon and now I've decided to go for the triple, do the full marathon and help Platform for Life at the same time.
Please donate as little or as much as you can. Every donation makes a difference - thank you
