We fight hunger and tackle food waste to turn surplus food into social good.

Story

FareShare NI is a Homeless Connect project, and part of the greater FareShare UK network. A network of charitable food distributors; we are the largest local food redistribution organisation in Northern Ireland.

We take good quality surplus food from right across the food industry and get it to frontline charities and community groups.

“FareShare NI has made a huge difference to us…the food we receive enables us to provide healthy meals to clients attending our centre”

The food we redistribute is nutritious and good to eat. It reaches charities across Northern Ireland including hostels, school breakfast clubs, older people’s lunch clubs, and community cafes.

Every week we provide enough food to create almost 40,000 meals for vulnerable people.

We believe that no good food should go to waste.

We redistribute surplus food to charities that turn it into meals. We are doers. We are a community. We change lives.

About the charity

FareShare Northern Ireland fights hunger and food waste by redistributing surplus food, with the help of volunteers, to 164+ local charities and groups, who last year turned it into 1.9 million meals. Your support makes a difference to people most at risk of food poverty in Northern Ireland.
