A massive 7.8 magnitude earthquake struck Turkey and Syria, which was followed by several aftershocks in early February. Over 50,000 people have died and many more have lost everything.

Lasting just 90 seconds, the quake was one of the most powerful in the region for centuries. Entire towns, including many refugee settlements, and 1700+ buildings were turned to rubble.

I will be taking part in TEAM LION-HEART's Ramadan Snowdon Hike challenge to support the charity Creating Dreams Foundation's Emergency Appeal. The challenge will take place this Ramadhan, in which I will be hiking up Mount Snowdon *whilst fasting*, to help families in Turkey and Syria to survive and recover from this catastrophe.
