Story
Sue Ryder is here to make sure everyone approaching the end of their life or living with grief can access the support they need. Every single person who works or volunteers at the Duchess of Kent Hospice is exceptional in the level of care they provide and compassion they offer. Auntie Salma was in the best hands and she always made it known that she was thankful for the incredible palliative care she received.
Between 2023-2024 Sue Ryder:
• gave more than 672,500 hours of end-of-life care;
• cared for more than 9,400 people in our hospices and in their homes;
• gave more than 6,300 hours of Online Bereavement Counselling.
There isn’t a one size fits all when it comes to how we cope and the help we need, but with Sue Ryder's support, no one has to face dying or grief alone. They are there when it matters.
I cope by keeping busy and many of you will know that I am not the best at sitting still. So here I am running in memory of my Auntie.
