Hi my name is Fay,

My Mum, Sally McAvan, was diagnosed with late stage Pancreatic Cancer just 2 days before Christmas in 2024 and passed away a mere 3 months later on Monday 24th March 2025, the week of Mother’s Day.

She was always so positive and headstrong with everything that greeted her throughout her battle with this terrible and heartbreaking disease.

She was the most personable, outgoing and loving person I have ever known and always made a lasting impression on everyone who knew her. She was also the most one off & magnificently individual person I have ever met and she didn’t care what anyone thought of her, but then again everyone thought the world of her so when everyone surrounding you thinks you’re great then you must be doing something right.

I have never been a walker myself, this summer just gone by I was in Devon with 2 of my dearest friends and complained the entire time we were out walking, but this isn’t about me it’s about remembering those people who we have lost to cancer and to raise money for the amazing St Luke’s Hospice in Cheshire. I could go on and on about how much they did for me, my dad & my mum, of course, but we’d be here for days.

I may be walking alone physically but in spirit I know who’s holding my hand the whole 11 miles.

Midnight Walk – Here we Go Again….Mamma Mia style

Our Midnight Walk returns on Saturday 28th June at Reaseheath College.

So let’s lace up our shoes and conquer the 6 or 11 mile walk under the stars from Nantwich to Crewe, all while raising “Money Money Money” for St Luke’s Hospice

This is more than just a walk; it's a celebration of community, compassion, and the incredible impact we've made together, so be a “Super Trouper” for the night and walk with us on our 21st Midnight Walk.
