I will be running this year's Edinburgh Marathon on the 26th of May. In doing so, I would like to raise money and awareness for Crisis, a charity dedicated to providing essential support and resources to those experiencing homelessness.

Times are difficult for many, but in 21st century Britain, everybody should have a place to live. The basic necessity of shelter should be a universal right, yet (too) many find themselves without a place to call home.

If you can afford to, join me by sponsoring my participation in this year's Edinburgh Marathon. All contributions will go directly to Crisis. Contributions of any level are genuinely appreciated. Together, we can work towards a future where everyone has a place to call home.

People lose their homes for a variety of reasons. Rising pressure from high rents and low pay, or a sudden life event like losing a job or family breakdown, can quickly force people into homelessness. But it doesnt need to be like this.

We can end homelessness for good. This doesn't mean that no-one will ever lose their home again, but that everyone facing homelessness gets the help they need quickly.
