Story
This October, I am climbing Mount Kilimanjaro to raise funds for International Justice Mission (IJM) to protect people in poverty from violence and slavery.
Today, 50 million people are trapped in slavery around the world. 1 in 4 is a child.
In the face of this abuse, IJM is working to transform individual lives as well as to create systemic, measurable impact. To date, IJM and our partners have brought over 490,000 people to safety and seen slavery and violence decrease by up to 86% in the places where we've worked.
I have worked for IJM for almost three years and I continue to be amazed at the rigour and care with which our field teams carry out this challenging work. It is a privilege to be a small part of this global movement to protect people in poverty from violence and to help resource a mission that I care deeply about.
I would love to invite you to join me as I raise funds for IJM through this climb. Any and all funds raised will go directly to IJM's critical work to address slavery and abuse around the world. Thank you!
