Story
Mary, Charlotte and I are proud employees at Fine Cell Work and have decided to take part in a half marathon to support the charity.
We have witnessed first-hand the transformative impact that Fine Cell Work has on the lives of the people we support, and we are determined to do our part in furthering their cause.
About Fine Cell Work
Fine Cell Work is a charity and social enterprise transforming the lives of prisoners and prison leavers, one stitch at a time. Training people in over 30 UK-based prisons and in our community workshop, Fine Cell Work equip individuals with the skill to make beautiful handmade products, boosting their self-worth, instilling self-discipline, and fostering hope. Our mission is for people to leave prison with money earnt, skills gained, and the determination to live meaningful, independent, crime-free lives.
The Run
On the 29th of July we will be participating in the Battersea Park half marathon, covering a distance of just over 21 kilometres. Although none of us are seasoned runners, with our previous experience limited to the occasional 5K run, we are determined to push ourselves for this worthy cause. We are reaching out to our friends, family, colleagues, and the wider community to support us in our fundraising efforts. By donating to our cause, you will be directly contributing to the success of Fine Cell Work's programmes. Your generous contributions will help Fine Cell Work continue to provide essential training and support for prisoners and prison leavers, empowering them to reintegrate into society with newfound skills, confidence, and hope.
Every contribution, no matter how small, will make a significant impact on the lives of those striving for a brighter future.
Together, we can help Fine Cell Work achieve its mission of transforming lives through needlework and breaking the cycles of reoffending and repeat imprisonment.
Thank you for your support!
