February Outdoor Challenge

Nick Kilhams died by suicide in May 2021. Nobody knew he had mental health issues. Our aim is to make mental heath support available to everyone within the London Insurance industry, so another tragedy like this does not occur again.

Story

Nick Kilhams Foundation - Advancing education and raising awareness of mental health issues.

Many of us know that very sadly, Nick Kilhams died from suicide early one Saturday morning in May 2021. His family and friends knew nothing of the struggle he had wrestled with for many years prior.

The NKF wish is that Nick’s memory and legacy continues to be kept alive in the market place that he loved so dearly. We fear others in the industry may be struggling to deal with their inner thoughts and mental health issues and that the market often may help cloak the issues.

NKF hope by bringing Nick’s story to the fore that others will be brave enough to share and talk openly if they need help. It is clear Nick was loved, liked and respected by so many, and yet no one knew of his mental anguish and daily struggles. We sincerely hope the NKF can help shine a light on these issues and keep Nick’s memory alive so that we can help others before tragedy happens.
