In June I am running the length of the South West Coast path, covering 630 miles with 115,000ft of elevation from Minehead in Somerset to South Haven Point in Dorset. I am doing this solo and I'm carrying all of my kit, including my tent in my backpack.

As this is a massive challenge taking me well outside of my comfort zone, I wanted to raise some money for charity. I have chosen Diverse Abilities as one of the charities I am supporting. Through the support my brother received from the advice service and from volunteering in the past I have seen first hand the difference Diverse Abilities makes to individuals and their families.

Being based in Poole, Diverse Abilities is only a short distance from end the of the Coast Path. Diverse Abilities is the only charity that supports children and adults with profound physical and learning disabilities in Dorset.

We cannot change people’s disabilities but, with your help, we can make their lives fun and fulfilled, giving them a future they truly deserve.
