What's going on?

A 5km egg and spoon fell fun run up Shutlingsloe at the end of April. Uneven ground, ups and downs, a lot of mud and plenty of laughs along the way.

Why?

We are fundraising for Kisiizi Hospital, an extraordinary place in rural south-west Uganda serving a very poor community with healthcare, hydro-electricity, primary school education and a community health insurance scheme. Established 55 years ago, Kisiizi continues to develop with a School of Nursing, care for the most vulnerable including the mentally ill, children with disability and neonates. It's core aim remains to share "Life in all its fullness" with its patients, staff, community and visitors. Thank you for your interest and support. http://www.kisiizihospital.org.ug

Dr Ian Spillman and Hanna Spillman have worked in Kisiizi for over 20 years, as Medical Superintendent and Head Midwife. Still actively involved in the hospital, they have semi-retired home to Macclesfield.
