Royal Parks Half Marathon 2025 · 12 October 2025 ·

Power the Fight is an award-winning charity which tackles violence affecting young people. PTF creates long-term solutions for sustainable change and acts as a link between the community and policy makers. Most of our work is with young people, families, schools, local authorities, faith groups and community organisations who want to be equipped to engage with youth violence issues in their context.

Story

I’m Running a Half Marathon for Power The Fight

On 12 October, I’ll be running a half marathon - 13.1 miles of grit, sweat and (hopefully) smiles - in support of Power The Fight, the award-winning charity founded by Ben Lindsay OBE.

In the last few weeks, I’ve been training hard: running 3 times a week, clocking up everything from short 5K sprints to 20K long runs. I was a runner before but I've not been consistent in recent years so every run feels outside of my comfort zone.

But this run isn’t just about me.

Power The Fight tackles one of the most urgent issues facing our communities: the rise in youth violence. They provide vital support to families, train practitioners, and give young people the tools to thrive - creating safer, more hopeful futures. Ben Lindsay’s leadership has made Power The Fight a national force for change, combining grassroots knowledge with systemic solutions.

Your donation - big or small - will go directly towards their work to break cycles of violence and build stronger, safer communities for our young people.

So please support me as I run this half marathon with Power, purpose and heart. Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
