Story
Hello and thanks for viewing my just giving page,
We are reaching out to support Diabetes UK. To do this we have formed a small team with the motivation to complete this marathon to support Diabetes UK. Our friend, John lives with diabetes and also recently lost his mother to diabetes in December. This loss has brought us together to fight this relentless disease.
Diabetes affects 1 in 14 people in the UK, causing blindness, kidney failure, heart attacks, stroke, and amputations. The need for support and awareness is urgent.
Our group fundraiser aims to raise £2000 for Diabetes UK. Your donations can make a difference:
£10 provides crucial information and advice.
£25 funds life-saving research.
£50 trains a new Helpline assistant.
We hope to raise awareness and provide help for those in need. By supporting Diabetes UK, we can honor John's mother's memory and bring hope to others.
Please join us in this fight. Every donation brings us closer to a world where diabetes can do no harm.
There is no minimum donation and we would appreciate anything that you are able to give to this cause.
We hope to raise awareness of this disease first and foremost so others don’t have to experience the sudden loss of a loved one to diabetes.
Diabetes becomes more prevalent by the day in our modern society and it must not be met with complacency.
To help us on our mission we would appreciate if you could share our page and help us meet our target.
Thank you for your kindness and generosity.
In memory of Karen Goodwin.
