Ferring Country Centre is a charity supporting people with learning disabilities situated in Ferring village. On Wednesday 15th July, a FCC Cycle Team—made up of 8 riders including 3 Trustees, 2 Senior Staff, 1 volunteer, and 2 valued supporters/Friends of FCC—will take on a 40-mile cycling challenge to celebrate the 40th Anniversary of Ferring Country Centre. This “40 miles for 40 years” ride will begin at FCC at 9:30am, with planned stops at Aldingbourne for a coffee break and Apuldram for lunch, before returning to Ferring just in time for tea!

The FCC Cycle Team is raising funds for a much-needed PA system, a vital piece of equipment that will transform daily life and future opportunities at Ferring Country Centre. The system will be used by the Day Service Customers for karaoke sessions, music activities, and performances in the new dance studio, bringing joy, confidence, and creativity to the people FCC supports. Crucially, it will also enable FCC to host commercial events, and celebrations, helping to generate sustainable income for the charity at a time when funding is increasingly stretched. A reliable, high-quality PA system will ensure everyone can be heard, included, and celebrated—while also helping FCC raise the funds it needs to continue its work long into the future. Every donation, big or small, will make a real difference by helping this essential equipment become a reality.
