Story
The 22nd annual Fettes Charity Run on 22 March will, for the first time, bring together both Prep and Senior School in support of a single whole-school cause that is very special to our community. Together, we are aiming to raise £10,000 for FetLor Youth Club's DoE Award scheme. Click to hear directly from those who understand it best.
Everyone in the Fettes community is invited to take part - running with us or joining remotely (sign up here) - and we warmly ask you to support the effort by giving generously.
Founded in 1924 by former pupils of Fettes College and Loretto School, FetLor Youth Club has long been connected to Fettes and continues to do extraordinary work with young people in Edinburgh.
The Duke of Edinburgh Award is something many of our own students benefit from. We see first-hand the confidence, resilience and sense of adventure it fosters. Through this campaign, we hope to give FetLor members the same opportunity—to get out of the city, explore the landscapes of the Scottish countryside, and discover what they are capable of achieving.
As FetLor's Richie Adams explains: “At FetLor we love working with Fettes. We share the same values and are focused on helping every young person achieve their potential. With expanded horizons come new aspirations, and participating in the Award helps our members see new opportunities and discover a higher potential.”
