Fold Hill Foods takes on the Inflatable 5K for Pets As Therapy! 🐶🏃‍♀️

We are bouncing into action for a great cause! On 7th June, a team of colleagues from Fold Hill Foods will be taking on the Inflatable 5K challenge—a fun-filled, obstacle course—with one goal in mind: to raise money for Pets As Therapy.

Pets As Therapy (PAT) is a fantastic UK national charity dedicated to enhancing health and well-being through the power of animal companionship. Since 1983, PAT has been at the forefront of pet-assisted therapy, providing thousands of people with comfort, joy, and emotional support through its network of dedicated volunteers and their temperament-assessed pets.

With a growing emphasis on mental health, PAT continues to forge partnerships with healthcare providers, educators, and businesses to expand its reach. Its mission is simple yet impactful: to ensure that as many people as possible, regardless of age or circumstance, experience the proven benefits of animal-assisted interventions.

PAT relies on public support to fund its essential work, from recruiting and onboarding new volunteers to maintaining welfare standards for therapy pets. Whether through donations, fundraising, or becoming a volunteer, every contribution helps PAT continue its life-changing visits.

Their impact last year:-

Around 30,000 people every week had the pleasure of meeting a PAT Pet

They visited 300 healthcare settings, 1,600 care homes and 1,900 schools

Their PAT Volunteers carried out approximately 168,500 visits

5,667 establishments in the UK received a PAT visit

Volunteering with them... 5,443 PAT Dogs & 30 PAT Cats
