Francis Holland Regent's Park's Sponsored Walk for The Rainbow Centre Sri Lanka

Francis Holland Regent's Park is raising money for The Rainbow Centre Sri Lanka

Sponsored Walk in Regent's Park 2025 · 3 October 2025

The Rainbow Centre works to address the serious problem of child poverty in Sri Lanka. It provides, education, welfare, medical assistance and loving support to children who live on the street, in slum housing and in conditions that threaten their survival.

Story

Every year, students and staff at Francis Holland Regent's Park dress up in fancy dress and walk around Regent's Park in aid of a charity that the students have selected.

This year, we are supporting The Rainbow Centre in Sri Lanka, an amazing charity which provides education to children who, without assistance, would not be able to access school. It provides daily tuition, welfare, nutritious food and loving support to children who suffer from neglect, abuse and trauma. The Centre counsels more than 100 families and focuses on providing awareness of job opportunities to children who know nothing other than the small world of slum living.

The school has a long history of supporting this incredible charity and some students will be travelling to Sri Lanka this term to volunteer at the Rainbow Centre.

The Rainbow Centre Sri Lanka is a small charity, so our contribution will really make a difference for them.
