Story
In August 2025 I was diagnosed with breast cancer. What followed was a gruelling year of surgery, chemotherapy, radiotherapy and long term hormone therapy. Two things have helped me hugely through this whole process:
1. The fact I found it early
2. Exercise
I am now in the privileged position to be able to use my love of exercise to help raise awareness of self-checking and the importance of early detection, as in April 2027 I will be taking on the iconic London Marathon to raise money for the incredible charity CoppaFeel!.
Friends, hear me when I say EARLY DETECTION SAVES LIVES!
CoppaFeel!’s mission is to educate people on the signs and symptoms of breast cancer and encourage them to check their chests regularly, so that if they notice something unusual they are empowered to contact their GP and advocate for themselves. They do this because when diagnosed early and accurately, breast cancer treatments are more effective and survival rates are higher. Early detection truly can save lives.
