Story
Hello! My name is Fiadh, and I’m 7 years old.
This summer, I’m climbing up Bennachie - a big hill in Aberdeenshire - to raise money for Leukemia UK. I'm doing it in memory of my Uncle David, who we sadly lost very suddenly to acute myeloid leukemia this year.
Uncle David was kind, funny, and full of adventures. He could make anyone laugh, and even though we didn’t see him all the time, he always made things feel special - like our big garden water fight I’ll never forget.
My family and I were heartbroken when he passed away just a few days after he first felt unwell. It happened so fast. We want to help others going through this illness and support the people working hard to find better treatments, so other families might not have to go through the same.
So… I’m putting on my walking boots, packing a snack, and climbing up Bennachie - step by step - for Uncle David.
We would be so grateful for your support. Any donation, big or small, helps Leukemia UK fund vital research and patient care.
Thank you so much for reading, and for helping me remember my uncle in a very special way. 🩷
Love,
Fiadh (& family)
