Maggie's Abseil at Guildford Cathedral 2024 · 6 July 2024 ·

Join Maggie's at The Royal Marsden on Saturday 6th July and abseil down Guildford Cathedral to support people living with cancer.

Story

We will be abseiling down the Guildford Cathedral from 160ft up in the air to raise money for Maggie's at The Royal Marsden!

Please donate what you can to help us reach my target, your support is greatly appreciated. We are paying for the abseil so all the money raised goes directly to Maggie's.

Maggie's

Hospitals can feel like such weird places, when you or a loved one has cancer it can feel like some kind of alien abduction experience, being zapped and probed by people speaking gibberish.

Maggies is the complete opposite, a place near the hospital, but separate; specifically designed to feel like a home. Where people speak to you like a human; where, over a cup of tea and a biscuit, you can talk about the human impact of cancer, your hopes, your fears, how you are managing.

We have experienced this first hand at the Marsden in Sutton and our father is hugely grateful for the connection and environment they provide.

The abseilers will be sibling dynamic duo Thomas and Rosie Fieldhouse and their partners Ruth and Kieran.
