Story
When I first contacted Graeme Park about DJing at my 50th, 2 and a half years ago, he had to cancel a couple of the calls we’d arranged because his 18 year old son was in hospital.
Shortly after, I heard on the radio that sadly Oliver had passed away. It struck me to the core.
Oliver had been suffering from leg pain - just like so many teenage boys do. But tragically this leg pain would take him away from his parents and twin brother Ben.
When I finally had that call with Graeme, I said that I would like to help raise funds for the charity GP has now become an ambassador for, helping to raise awareness and support other people suffering from the horrible sarcoma cancer and their families.
Thanks to your generosity using the QR code at the festival, we raised almost £900 which is absolutely incredible and I’m extremely grateful. If anyone else would like to donate it would be very much appreciated by myself, Mark, Graeme and the charity. Thank you xx
Sarcoma is a type of cancer that develops in the bone and soft tissue. It is difficult to diagnose and one of the hardest to treat. By supporting me, we can help change this.
Your donation will help researchers find answers, keep the specialist Support Line open, and raise awareness to improve treatment and standards of care.
Your donations go so far in helping the sarcoma community:
£8.80 Could cover the cost of 10 21 minute calls to Sarcoma UK's Support Line.
£25 Could fund a Research Associate to work on a Sarcoma UK research project for one hour.
£334 Could fund Sarcoma UK's Support Line for a day.
£9,000 Could purchase a fume cupboard for a laboratory to allow researchers to safely use chemicals.
Thank you.
