My name is Fikadu Aleme from Ethiopia and I am a 29-year-old construction worker facing a life-threatening challenge. I suffer from severe respiratory allergies, including bronchitis and asthma, which affect me every single day. These allergies are exacerbated by my work environment, where exposure to dust, cold air, and strong odors is unavoidable.

Despite my determination to support myself and my family, the demands of my job are increasingly taking a toll on my health. Constant exposure to these triggers has resulted in frequent hospital visits, which I struggle to afford due to my limited income. The financial burden of medical expenses, coupled with the inability to work effectively, has left me in a precarious situation.

I come from a low-income family where I am the primary breadwinner. My family depends on me to cover essential needs such as food and my younger sister's school fees. Unfortunately, my current circumstances have made it impossible to meet these obligations, further compounding our challenges.
